Speakers should prepare slides ahead of time, email ppt or pdf to dlolson@lbl.gov, and follow the guidelines below.

Presentations on Tools & Technology

4 slides covering

  1. who is doing it, how long, who is supporting it, what technology dependencies, URL's
  2. "geographic" view showing example distribution across a grid environment
  3. use cases served by this tool/technology
  4. what context / environment is presented to end user physicist

Presentations on Experiment's thoughts / plans / activities

15 minutes of slides answering the following questions:

  1. What are the objectives?
  2. What use cases are being targeted?
  3. What tools & technologies are being used / investigated?
  4. What is known about development / deployment schedule?
  5. What is the non-negotiable technology environment? (i.e., must have Objectivity, must have ROOT, must have RH x.x linux, ...)
  6. What collaborations beyond the experiment are involved? (i.e., GriPhyN, EU-DataGrid, TeraGrid, LCG, other experiments, ...)
  7. What is scale of user community?
